Beginner's Guide

Step-by-step: Training Grounds → Hall → Muriel

1) Enter the Training Grounds

• At the entry flow, choose Apply for training.

• You will be warped into the Training Grounds map (scripts warp you into new_1-2).

2) Go to the Hall and talk to the NPCs

• Follow the path into the Hall / instruction area.

• Talk to every instructor/helper NPC you see (they teach basic RO systems and advance your training progress).

• Do not skip dialogs if an NPC asks you to “learn first” before proceeding.

3) Find Muriel (last NPC)

Muriel is the key NPC for this beginner flow.

• NPC name: Muriel (shown as [Muriel] in dialog)

• Location: Training Grounds entrance/hall area (script defines her at new_1-2 around 38,182)

• What she does:

  • Gives the Novice Package

  • Can also send you to Training Battle (Field Combat Training)

4) Claim your Novice Package from Muriel

Talk to Muriel and choose:

• Get Novice Package

Important rules (how it actually works)

• Once per account: after you claim, the account variable #novice_package_redeemed is set.

• There is also a server-wide flag $novice_full_package_claimed:

  • If no one has claimed yet, the first account gets the full package

  • If someone already claimed the full one, you get the reduced package

• If your inventory is full, Muriel will tell you to make space
